TransferU® Reaches 15M+ Transfer Equivalencies Across All 50 States
Building one of the most comprehensive cross-institutional transfer credit databases publicly available to students in the United States.
TransferU has completed its most significant data expansion, now indexing 3M+ courses and 15M+ transfer equivalencies across 11,500+ institutions spanning all 50 states — updated with 2026–27 academic year data. The database has grown from 90,000 courses at the platform's April 2026 launch.
Sourced from 30+ official state articulation systems — including Ohio OT36, NJTransfer, Texas TCCNS, Virginia VCCS, California ASSIST, MassTransfer, and others — and supplemented by bilateral institutional articulation data, the platform now covers major transfer pathways across Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey, Texas, Virginia, Maryland, Illinois, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Tennessee, Massachusetts, North Carolina, and more.

The platform also includes a semantic AI matching engine that identifies likely course equivalencies by content and description, not just course codes — giving students meaningful results across any course at any institution, even when no official equivalency record exists.

TransferU has launched its most significant platform update, now indexing 90,000+ courses across 20+ universities with AI-powered course equivalency matching, guaranteed transfer policy badges (Ohio OT36, SUNY Seamless Transfer), and a full student portal including transfer plan builder and transcript analysis.
